Belvoir Christian Academy Celebrates National Lutheran Schools Week! Sun., Jan. 22 - Fri., Jan. 27

Next week, BCA students will celebrate our Lutheran School heritage! Each January, hundreds Lutheran schools across the U.S. take part in this week-long event to encourage growth in their walk with Christ. This year's theme is "UPON THIS ROCK". Students will enjoy daily activities to help them learn that Jesus is their life-long ROCK!

For Belvoir Christian Academy, this is also a very special year because we are not only celebrating our Lutheran Christian heritage, but also celebrating our 130th year of making disciples for Jesus here in Chattanooga!

Opportunity to Share and Teach in
Mini-Courses
Students in grades 2, 3 & 4 will be participating in Mini-Courses from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. each Friday in February. These are designed to give students an opportunity to learn subjects outside of the normal classroom curriculum. We need volunteers to help so that we can offer as many classes as possible. Do you have a special talent in jewelry making, sewing, needlepoint, origami, scrapbooking, fitness, Minecraft, knitting, dessert/treat making or a talent that you could share? Please contact Brittany Webb at [email protected] if you would be willing to volunteer for four Fridays in February (60 minutes each) to share your skill or craft.

Annual St. Jude Math-a-thon
We will once again participate in the Math-a-Thon beginning the middle of February. This is a unique opportunity to raise some money for St. Jude as well as sharpen up some of our academic skills. We appreciate Mrs. Mary Lawrence (Dixie Booth's (7th grade) grandmother) for volunteering to be our Math-a-Thon coordinator this year.

Father-Daughter Dance
Plans are underway for our first annual Father-Daughter Dance to be held on April 8 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in our cafeteria. If you would like to help plan this fun event, please call the school office. Put this on your calendars for your daughters and those significant male figures in their lives (If dads cannot attend, we encourage the girls to invite an uncle, grandfather, older brother or special family friend.)
