Thank You and Season's Greetings from East End House

Toy Drive 2017

Toy Drive 2017

Thank you to all the community members, individuals, businesses and organizations for your tremendous generosity during the agency’s December Holiday Programs. With your continued support, East End House’s annual December Toy Drive and Adopt-a-Family Programs provided 182 families and over 500 children with toys, clothing, and basic necessities, enabling those most in need in the community to have a happy and healthy holiday season.

This holiday season at East End House was particularly special as many families were affected by the East Cambridge fire in early December. Thanks to the generous outpour of support from the community, the Adopt-a-Family Program was able to provide many of these families and individuals that were directly impacted by the fire, including 21 children, with clothing, gift cards, basic necessities, and holiday gifts.

"I just want you to know how much this means to me and my family. We appreciate the people out there helping a family when times are hard. I can't stress enough how thankful we are."

— December Toy Drive Recipient

"I am a single mom with three children. I work hard to provide for my children. You helped me this holiday season. It means a lot to me. You brought more happiness to our house. I want to say thank you for your generosity from the bottom of my heart."

— December Toy Drive Recipient

"Thank you for choosing our family for your Adopt-A-Family program. It was amazing! You are very kind and thoughtful. This was a great holiday for my son, daughter and husband."

— Adopt-A-Family Recipient

"Unfortunately, last month, my family was affected by the fire in Cambridge. We lost absolutely everything. Our car, our family pet, and all our memories. The first place I thought of for help was East End House. After being in a crowded hotel, coming to East End house finally felt like home. Staff made sure that I had a winter coat, gift cards and even helped make Christmas possible within weeks. Because of all of the love and support from the East End House, I do still believe in miracles."
