Team Daytona Beach will host "Sprinters for Solar", a 5K Off-Road  Run, Saturday, Jan. 28 at 8 a.m.  Pre-registration is $25 and includes a free t-shirt, while race day registration is $35.  Participants 21 years of age and older will receive a free beer for running as well!

All proceeds benefit Team Daytona Beach - a group of Daytona State College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students who have been selected to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy's prestigious Solar Decathlon 2017 competition.

MORE: Offering more than 100 certificate, associate and bachelor's degree programs, Daytona State College has responded to the education and workforce training needs of Volusia and Flagler counties and beyond for more than 50 years.
