Writing CTE Courses for 'A-G' Approval Webinar

Obtaining A-G approval for Career Technical Educational (CTE) courses has become increasingly important and is an important component of preparing students for college and careers. This workshop will guide teachers and curriculum writers through the process of writing A-G approval for CTE courses, while using the UC Doorways Portal. Participants should talk to their sites to gain access to the portal before the webinar if possible.

Work-Based Learning: An Instructional Strategy

 

This session is designed for individuals new to Work-Based Learning, those seeking to better understand how they can embed Work-Based Learning activities into their career pathways and districts interested in establishing structured Work-Based Learning programs.

2017 Educators Rising State Competition

Educators Rising California state competitions provide students opportunities to develop and demonstrate their leadership skills, as well as their knowledge and skills related to future careers in education. The state level competitions are aligned to the Educators Rising national competitions. The top three places in each competition are eligible to compete at the Educators Rising National Conference.


The deadline for submitting your entry is February 24th, 2017. For information about each competition, including detailed scoring rubrics and guidelines for submissions, visit the competition webpage.

When submitting a request for Capital Outlay to CDE for prior approval, please make sure that the CTE instructor's name is listed as it appears on their credential document. When the CDE staff members look up the instructor in the CTC data base to verify their eligibility for CTEIG funds, if the name doesn't match, there will be a delay in the approval process.
