January 2017
Christina Leakey, President & CEO
Welcome Christina!

We are excited to introduce you to our new President & CEO - Christina Leakey. Christina has been a friend of Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity for awhile now through her former position with the City of Independence.  During her tenure there, she oversaw the successful completion of numerous neighborhood revitalization projects, including the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program that awarded $2.5 million to Truman Habitat in 2009 for the development of new homebuyer opportunities in areas impacted by the foreclosure crisis.

As a long-time supporter and friend of Truman Habitat, Christina states "I am excited about the opportunity to continue the great work that Truman Habitat is doing in Eastern Jackson County and expand the scope and reach of what we offer the community."  Christina will oversee the staff and volunteers, the organization's housing programs, and our two ReStores in Eastern Jackson County.

Christina brings her extensive experience in the development and financing of affordable housing programs as well as, a wealth of institutional knowledge and professional relationships that will advance local and regional collaboration and help Truman Habitat achieve our strategic goals.

Please join us in welcoming her and praying for her continued success in working with our families in Eastern Jackson County, MO.
