REGISTER FOR 2016 PACIFIC LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP PRE-QUALIFIER
The PGA of British Columbia, in collaboration with PGA TOUR Champions and SportBox Group, is proud to announce qualifying information for the 2016 Pacific Links Championship taking place at Bear Mountain Golf Resort in Victoria, BC, September 19-25th.

An open Pre-Qualifier for all competitors age 50 and over will take place Thursday, September 15th at Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford, BC. A maximum of five (5) scorers will advance into the Event Qualifier, taking place Tuesday, September 20th at Bear Mountain Golf Resort's Valley Course. The Event Qualifier will then have a maximum of seven (7) scorers that will qualify directly into the 2016 Pacific Links Championship.

LAST WEEK TO SUBMIT 2016 PGA OF BC AWARDS NOMINATIONS
Each year, the PGA of BC honours top achievers for excellence in the golf profession by  awarding the PGA of BC Awards. We are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2016 PGA of BC Awards  program.  

As a reminder, one finalist from each region (Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Interior, Kootenays/North) will be nominated for each awards category, for a total of four finalists per category. Those wanting to nominate an individual or facility are strongly encouraged to do so.

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION FOR BUYING SHOW CLOSES SEPTEMBER 15
A reminder that registration for the 2016 PGA of BC Buying Show, October 12-13 at the Richmond Olympic Oval, closes in less than two weeks.

The event format annually represents the largest gathering of PGA of BC members at British Columbia's premier golf merchandise buying show. 

Registration for Exhibitors will close at 4pm on Thursday September 15th. We regret to inform that no extensions will be granted for this deadline. Booth rates will remain affixed from 2013, with 10'x10's starting at only $1,350 for Association Sponsors and members of the CGIA, and $1,450 for all other exhibitors. APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP AND BURSARY OPPORTUNITIES BY AUGUST 31 
With the application deadline fast approaching, members interested in applying for the Jim Gibson Scholarship and/or the Forestar Golf Community Leadership Bursary are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.

The $1,000 Jim Gibson Scholarship is named in honour of the late Jim Gibson and is a tribute to the commitment and dedication of this long-time ambassador of the Association. The award is intended to assist a dedicated member in furthering their professional development - whether they desire to enrol in a course, or require assistance covering travel costs to attend an educational conference.

In partnership with Forestar Golf Sales Ltd., the PGA of BC is proud to announce the development of the $1,000 Forestar Golf Community Leadership Bursary. This bursary is awarded to a member seeking financial assistance to implement or improve programming that benefits their community. 

Please note that non-members of the Association are eligible to win these awards, but they must be nominated by a member in good standing of the PGA of BC.
