PURCHASE PGA OF BC AWARDS CELEBRATION TICKETS IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
For the past three years, tickets to the PGA of BC Awards Celebration sold out. To guarantee your attendance at the show this year, it is recommended that tickets are purchased by this Friday, October 7. 
 
The 2016 PGA of BC Awards Celebration will take place on Wednesday, October 12, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond. Tickets to the reception can be purchased by following this link. For more information, please click here.
2017 MEMBERSHIP DUES TO BE PAID BY NOVEMBER 1, 2016
Just a friendly reminder to all members that payment for 2017 PGA of Canada Membership dues must be received by the National Office no later than November 1st to avoid late fees.

As a note, members may request a full refund (minus any late fees) for their dues, should any changes occur, until April 1, 2017. If you anticipate any changes for 2017, the PGA of BC office recommends members to pay their dues prior to this deadline and contact the office should you have any special circumstances. Pay your dues online by logging into your account on the PGA of Canada website. 
BILL KELLY LEADS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
As of October 1, 2016, Bill Kelly (Glacier Greens Golf Course) leads the PGA of BC Professional Development Program presented by Sunice & Bobby Jones with 75 points.

Matt Dunn (Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club) sits just two points behind Kelly with 73 points, while Greg Pool (Capilano Golf & Country Club) rounds out the top three at 70 points. All point submissions must be received by November 30, 2016 at 4 PM to contribute to the 2016 Order of Merit points race. OFFICE CLOSURE
Please note that the PGA of British Columbia administration office will be closed on Monday, October 10 in observance of Thanksgiving. The office will also be closed from Tuesday, October 11  -  Thursday, October 13 due to the Buying Show taking place at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Regular office hours will resume Friday, October 14 at 8:00 am.

Due to the 2016 PGA of BC Buying Show taking place next week at the Richmond Olympic Oval, there will be no E-News sent during the week of October 12, 2016. Regularly scheduled service will resume on Wednesday, October 19. Thank you for your understanding.
CONGRATULATIONS 
Congratulations to Keith Vandenbrink (Hillview Golf Club) who shot 69 to claim the 2016 Interior PGA Tour Championship at the Okanagan Golf Club (Bear Course) this week. He also won the IPGA Final Match Play a day earlier, 1 up against Cody Bell (Canoe Creek Golf Course).

Congratulations to Doug Morgan (Richmond Country Club) for shooting 68-69 to claim the 2016 Srixon PGA of BC Tour Championship, with rounds played at Point Grey Golf & Country Club and Richmond Country Club. Morgan took home the $800 Champion purse, followed by Clark MacPherson (McCleery Golf Course) who finished 4 strokes back to take home the $700 Runner-up prize.

Congratulations to Guy Dow who recently accepted the position of Director of Golf/General Manager at Penticton Golf & Country Club.
