Dear PHC Family,

Happy New Year! January is a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the New Year. As we reflect on 2016, we want to thank our awesome PHC staff, coaches, adult league captains, parent helpers and fundraisers and all of our loyal customers. We are grateful for your willingness to be "in the arena."  Our PHC youth programs have grown from 28 players in 2014 to 155 players this year.

In an effort to create more hockey players here in Austin, we have partnered with the Dallas Stars to offer a Learn To Play Program this February and March. This is a 6 week coached session all gear included for $85. This program has sold out but we plan to offer this in both April and May so spread the word!

Finally, the Shootout Foundation was able to raise close to $180,000 in 2016 to support youth development hockey initiatives and the Austin Blades Sled Hockey program.

While January is a time to reflect on the past year, it is also a time to plan for the future. We hope you will engage in the questions below to help us with our plans for the upcoming year.

Happy New Year to all of you. If you are a part of our "arena," we thank you. If you are not, we hope you have found something to be a part of where you can "dare greatly, and strive valiantly" because being the person "who spends himself for a worthy cause" is much more rewarding than being the critic, "who points out how the strong man stumbles."
