Rabbi's D'var Torah From Last Friday Va-y'chi - "Teach Them How To Say Goodbye"
From the Rabbi's D'var:
"Liminal spaces are the transitions between two safe, or at least known, things, times, or places. In the Jewish Tradition and in many other religious and spiritual traditions, liminal spaces or boundaries are understood to be fraught with dangerous and powerful forces."

Thanks For Your Hanukkah Generosity!
From Wilton Social Services: Thanks to everyone at Temple B'nai Chaim for your amazing generosity to our families who celebrate Hanukkah. Because of your donation of $1200, 12 Wilton children were able to have a very happy Hanukkah. We would not have been able to make this possible without your help. Please pass on the gratitude of all of us at Wilton Social Services.

TBC in the News!
The Wilton Bulletin did some great reporting on our special January 6 service where had invited the Syrian family and members of the WiACT Steering Committee to join us in welcoming our new Religious school students. See the editorial

Shabbat Shirah February 10th - Calling All Musicians!
Come offer musical praise as did our ancestors in worship after the miraculous parting of the sea. If you are a singer or musician and would like to perform a song of thanksgiving or praise - alone or with a group - please email
cantor@templebnaichaim.org. The exact musical shape of the evening will be a reflection of the musical talents and passions of our congregants. We will also hear the special musical chant for the Song at the Sea. Join us for what promises to be a very special Shabbat of song and celebration.

Calling All Torah Chanters!!
We will be chanting Torah on the following dates: March 24, April 21, and May 12. The readers or chanters will be given ample time to learn the verses. Don't worry, it won't be as long as your Bar or Bat Mitzvah! If it was your parsha, and you want to do it again, this is a great chance for you. If you have never read from the Torah and have always wanted to, please recognize that this is your chance to do so with your community. Please contact Russ Robbins, Chair of the Ritual Committee at ritual@templebnaichaim.org.
