Happy New Year!

This weekend I will be traveling to San Jose, CA for TNNA. This is a trade show where I get to see and order the new yarns, patterns and accessories for spring/summer.

There will be new bags in the Offhand Designs booth. This is Lucy. She'll be coming home with me and then more bags will be shipped next week.

I will be posting pictures from the show on the blog along with our Facebook page and on Instagram - my user name is needleemporium.

Freia Fibers has new colours coming for the spring.

The colour is Aurora and the pattern is called Shifting Sands. The pattern will be released after the show.

21 Color Slouch

We've just received kits from Blue Sky Fibers for the 21 Color Slouch.

The kit contains 21 mini skeins of Woolstok and the pattern to make the hat.

Woolstok is 100% Fine Highland Wool.

Rich in character with excellent stitch definition and easy to work with, this yarn is available in lots of colors. You'll quickly cozy up to it, no doubt.

The kits are selling fast but don't worry - another shipment is on the way.

There is a new sock yarn from Opal.

The Opal Illusion Sock Yarn collection is a gorgeous sock yarn made from 75% wool and 25% nylon in 8 wonderful new colour ways. As you knit your sock the repeating printed pattern results in a faux fair isle pattern. The resulting sock has superb wearability.

Toronto Knitters Frolic

The Toronto Knitters Frolic is an annual event organized by the Toronto Knitters Guild.

The Frolic focuses on a series of workshops over 2 days and is accompanied by a Saturday-only Marketplace event.

There will be 50 Vendors at the 2017 Frolic.
