7 years ago with 4 friends and I getting together one Sunday a month to make sack lunches for the homeless is now feeding thousands of people every month.
I am reminded daily of how lucky I am to wake up alive, with amazing friends, a roof over my head, food in my fridge, and a job. So I'm inviting you my friends to join me in giving back and helping those who are in need.
It doesn't take much, just everyone pitching in $10, or $20 bucks making up some lunches and going and handing them out downtown. I can tell you the simple act of kindness towards another human being really changes your perspective. It really is just about having a small impact on someone's life that trust me they appreciate!
In order to sustain what we do for the community, our kids programs, and this effort donations are necessary from all volunteers.....

Difficult plays are Curious Theatre Company’s bread and butter, and
The Body of an American
continues in that mold with riveting precision. Dan O’Brien’s story — part fractured autobiography, part ethics review and part homage to the unadorned art of photojournalism — is based on the split-second shot that earned a Pulitzer Prize for war photog Paul Watson, whose most famous image, of an American soldier dragged from the wreckage of a Black Hawk helicopter through the streets of Mogadishu, still haunts him. The two-man cast, ostensibly appearing as O’Brien and Watson, who struck up a friendship in real life, shape-shifts from one role to another (Curious calls actors Sean Scrutchins and Michael McNeill an “ensemble cast”), sometimes trading identities mid-sentence. Difficult enough for you?

Curious Theatre Company's ambitious serial storytelling series, which began with Tarell Alvin McCraney's powerful trio of Brother/Sister Plays, will sail into the completion of its second cycle - The Elliot Trilogy, by Quiara Alegría Hudes - to start off 2017. The final Elliot play, The Happiest Song Plays Last, opens for two nights of previews starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, January 12, at Curious, 1080 Acoma Street. Song brings to a close three chapters in the story of the recurring character Elliot, who starts out as a young Puerto Rican soldier from north Philly fighting overseas in the first installment and ends up reenacting his wartime experience as an actor for a film being made in Jordan in the last. Curious will punch up The Happiest Song, a play that works alone or as part of the trilogy, with live Puerto Rican and Middle Eastern music.

Relax and get away from the holiday stress. Tibetan singing bowls are musical instruments that have been used for thousands of years to promote healing. Bring your yoga mat, a blanket, and your cluttered mind for a relaxing night of sound healing.
Denver yoga instructor and sound healer Chris Anne Coviello and her husband Jason Coviello perform together in this warming winter concert. The concert begins with Jason playing his Hang Drum, which is a very rare steel drum that is tuned to notes that vibrationally correspond to the heart chakra.
Jason and Chris Anne then play the Tibetan singing bowls, which are tuned to musical notes that correspond to the different chakras of the body – restoring your balance of energy. Since the body is made up of mostly water, the vibrational effect of the Tibetan singing bowls feels like a full body cellular massage.
