Wall Street firms are expected to post the biggest fourth-quarter trading haul since the financial crisis as the U.S. election triggered a frenzy of global markets activity from government bonds to currencies.  


The hedge fund industry is fast forward changing and going through a lot of disruption. 2017 will be a critical year as the US new administration offers a pro wall Street team that for sure will push all the most disruptive part of the financial industry. 


Although the final data for the end of 2016 has yet to be compiled, analysts expect that last year may be the slowest since 2008 when it comes to new hedge fund launches. 

Global investment banks could boost profits by creating a shared utility to determine whether customers meet stricter compliance standards and embracing more automation to quell swelling compliance costs, says a new report from consultants EY.
