New Year New Beginnings

TACDL Members,
As the beginning of 2017 starts to take shape I am excited to be joining TACDL as your new Executive Director. My first official day was January 4th and I feel like I have hit the ground running. My background is in the workplace giving non-profit sector where I worked at Community Shares for 8 years to raise funds for social change organizations throughout Tennessee. I successfully managed over 30 workplace giving campaigns throughout the state and I coordinated with our members to effectively promote our mission to the community.  I have also worked on a few political campaigns here in Tennessee. I have a nine year old son named Mason and an 8 month old basset hound named Thelma Lou.

I have lots of exciting plans for TACDL in 2017, including launching the new TACDL website, check it out and see how much easier it will be to renew membership and register for  CLE classes. I will be adding member benefits and reaching new members to join TACDL. 2017 is going to be an exciting year here at TACDL. Thank you for being members!

If you have not renewed your membership for 2017 now is the time to renew!

My number one goal will always be to support the wonderful members of TACDL. Please reach out to me if I can assist you in any way.  My cell phone number is 615-416-0073 and my email address is [email protected]

wherever justice demands,

Tracey Hawk

Legislative Update

As the 110th legislative session gets under way here in Nashville take a moment and bookmark the Tennessee General Assembly  website so you can stay up to date on proposed legislation that will be happening. Nathan Ridley (our esteemed lobbyist) and the legislative committee are putting together position opinions and proposed legislation. We will keep the members of TACDL informed about any upcoming legislation that would negatively impact the criminal justice field.

The 110th General Assembly has announced the committees and sub-committee chairs. Take a moment and review who is on what committee and let us know if committee members are in your district this will help us as we being to share our opinions on legislation.

If you are interested in joining the legislative committee email Tracey Hawk and she can add you to the committee.
