Announcements for this Sunday: The 3rd Sunday in Advent
Poinsettia delivery
Following services Sunday, stop by the Glenn Gallery to select a beautiful poinsettia to deliver to a member who is homebound or resides in a assisted living/nurse care home. A special invitation goes out to folks with children – children can be spectacular ambassadors of the church! The name and address of a parishioner to visit is provided.  Thank you to the Daughters of the King for organizing this annual expression of St. Luke's love!
Advent Outreach Tree

Celebrate Christ’s light in the word by making a donation to one of the ministries supported by the tree and receive a lovely ornament explaining the donation to give to your friends or family. This year’s tree benefits: IHAD, TACC and Crossroads. The tree is located in the Reception Area. This is the final Sunday to make donations and get your ornaments.
The EYC heads to Target at Lindbergh Plaza Sunday evening for a fun game of Toy Tag - with the goal of gathering toys for the children of Emmaus House. We will meet at Target at 5:30 to collect the toys and then head on over to the Matthews’ house to wrap the presents and enjoy some delicious food! Youth should be dropped off at the Target at 5:30 p.m. and picked up at the Matthew’s house at 8 p.m. Please bring $20 with you to participate!
Live from St. Luke’s on Christmas Eve
If you can’t be with us on Peachtree Street to worship on Christmas Eve, join us virtually. We will broadcast live the 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. services on December 24. All you have to do is go to the church homepage and click on the icon for the service you want to watch. You must watch live at the time of the service. You can watch on your computer, phone or tablet.

Art and Spirituality: The Interactive Path
The Rev. Dan Matthews Jr. and Randy Miller | Dec. 17 | Parish Hall
For many of us, art is a static medium. A painting hangs upon the wall or a sculpture sits in the middle of the museum, static and unchanging, awaiting an observer to gaze upon it and then move on with life. In the church, this is no less true. Stained glass windows are installed and remain motionless for generations of observers. But, is there an opportunity to experience the intersection of art and spirituality as something dynamic and interactive? This three-part class will explore various modalities of art and the opportunities they offer to express and discover God in new and interesting ways.

Sunday’s Lectionary: A Bible Study
Colin Brown | Dec. 17 | Wilmer Chapel
Join Colin Brown, a seminarian at Candler, to explore God’s Word in the day’s designated scripture lessons. We all see the world through the filter of life experience and life transitions. This bible study is designed to engage us in a deeper exploration of biblical texts acknowledging the lens of life experiences we bring to that study. No preparation necessary. Drop in as you are able. This class invites you to come, engage the Scripture and respond to God’s word.

The Sunday Papers
Matt Boyer, Jonathan Serrie | Dec. 17 | St. Luke Room
A free-flowing discussion about current events, faith and their intersection in our daily lives facilitated by parishioners Jonathan Serrie and Matt Boyer. Our discussions each week will be informed by scripture, national or local news sources. All views, thoughts and opinions are welcomed and encouraged.
If you aren't able to worship with us on Peachtree Street this Sunday, joins us via the Internet.
