Cookie Time is Almost Here!
It's not too late for training

Are you a new troop leader who just started troop meetings, or part of a troop just getting back to Girl Scouts after the winter break? If so, don't worry. There is still time for your troop to participate in this year's Cookie Sale celebrating 100 years of Girl Scout Cookies! Please reach out to your regional Product Sales Specialist, and they will be able to guide you in the right direction on how to get started.

Cookie Kickoffs will be happening Feb. 9 - 11 across the state. Check our
website for times and locations in your area! Join the fun of learning the five essential skills and get excited about the upcoming sale! Cookie sales start Feb. 11 and will go until March 19.

NEW! Sunday Support for Cookie Managers

Product Sales will be offering Sunday support this year during the Cookie Sale! From 1 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 12, 19, 26 and March 5 and 12, Troop Cookie Managers can call into their
regional office and a Product Sales Specialist will be available to help with any cookie needs.
Nominate Outstanding Volunteers
Deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 1

Girl Scout volunteers from all across Kansas are so generous with their time and talent! Here are a few examples:
  • Volunteers from Cowley County had 100 percent participation in their Cookie Program training!
  • The following Service Units have already met their girl membership goal for 2016-17:

    • Iroquois Service Unit 113
    • Tri-Lakes Service Unit 209

It's time for all of our fantastic volunteers to be recognized! Each year, we ask girls, parents and volunteers to nominate outstanding volunteers for a Volunteer Award. Please take a few moments before Feb. 1 to complete the quick and easy online nomination form to let that special volunteer know how much we appreciate what they do for Girl Scouts. For more information about the Volunteer Awards and to submit a nomination form, go to our Volunteer Recognitions page. Awards will be presented at the Recognition Breakfast and Annual Meeting on April 1 in your region.
Mulvane Girl Scouts Give Back!
Girl Scouts take pride in community

Girl Scouts are always looking for ways to give back and live out the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and Mulvane Girl Scouts recently had an opportunity to do just that!

Mulvane's Christmas in the Park community service event was on December 3. Girl Scouts from Mulvane Troops 40683 and 40894 served cookies, hot cocoa and hot cider to the community at Cobb Park after the parade. What a great way to give back to the community!

Recruitment Volunteers Needed
Help girls and adults join the fun!

Do you think of creative ways to recruit new girls and volunteers that we currently aren't doing?

Do you love to go out and talk to people about how amazing Girl Scouts is and how it has made an impact in your life or the lives of others around you?
Have you made plans to help or run a sign-up event during Sign Up For Scouting or any other time throughout the year?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then we are looking for YOU!  We would like to identify the wonderful volunteers that can help us recruit in any way and start getting specialized training to them. So if you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, please send an email to  registration@gskh.org and we will contact you about next steps.
