Community Foundation Welcomes Investment Advisor/Consultant

Board President, Jim Zauher with Brian Sharpes and Dan Tichenor of
UBS Institutional Consulting
The Community Foundation Board of Directors recently announced an important step to engage a professional advisor/consultant to manage our investment portfolio. Our Investment Committee completed  nearly twelve months of due diligence  and ultimately recommended to the Board of Directors the hiring of Brian Sharpes, CIMA, Managing Director of Investments at Golden Gate Group, UBS Institutional Consulting as our investment advisor/consultant.

We believe this change is significant in adhering to prudent business practices as recommended by the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA) and to the benefit of all endowed and managed fund holders. In addition to the potential for greater earnings and improved reporting on investments, we will see educational opportunities for donors, the community at large, and professional advisors. For these reasons, we look forward to a great relationship with our new professional partners at UBS Institutional Consulting!
