We are proud to share Connect - a newsletter designed for families of kids with special needs and the service providers who support them. In this newsletter we hope you find information that is relevant to you. We also share in person events where you can meet local families of kids with special needs. Connect is distributed monthly. York Region Special Needs Information Fair is Coming Next Month!
Save the date and join us Saturday, February 11th from 1pm-4pm at the Angus Glen Community Centre in Markham to get connected to information on everything from recreational activities, family resources, financial planning, funding, therapy options and so much more!

If you are a vendor/agency interested in participating at the information fair click here. Deadline to participate is Friday, January 13, 2017.

Exciting Opportunity for Ontario Youth
Do you know someone ages 16-25 who wants to make a difference in the lives of their peers? Apply to become a member of the Premier's Council on Youth Opportunities. The Premier's Council on Youth Opportunities is a 25-member group of young professionals and leaders who advise the Premier and the Minister of Children and Youth Services on issues affecting youth in Ontario and how the government can improve their programs and services for this group. 
Deadline is January 16, 2017.


Accessible Indoor Sports Programs Offered in Barrie
Are you looking for some fun indoor accessible sports for your child to try this winter? The City of Barrie is currently offering sledge hockey and wheelchair basketball programs for anyone ages six and up. For more information click here for sledge hockey or click here for wheelchair basketball.
