Judy Halper,
JFCS CEO

At his funeral, Irv Nudell's family reminisced about his hobbies, his career, his passion for all things Jewish, and there was much mention of his decades of work at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis. Irv was legendary to those of us who have worked at JFCS for many years. He was the embodiment of kindness and humility. Though I never had the pleasure of working for Irv, I've learned over the years that he had a huge role in transforming JFCS from a tiny three-person "shop" with a small budget, to an organization of 35 staff and a budget of nearly $2 million.

GIVE2016: Deeply grateful for a successful campaign

With deep gratitude, JFCS Board and Staff would like to thank those who supported Give2016. Through the collective generosity of more than 1,160 Annual Campaign donors, Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis exceeded its goal to raise $600,000! What an incredible feat to achieve and tremendous act of kindness to observe on behalf of the thousands of individuals and families who benefit from the vast menu of quality, life-enriching programs and services provided here each year. It's inspiring to see first-hand what becomes possible when people with shared values come together in support of our community.

JFCS Career Initiatives:  Re-packaging for the future
Tim (not his real name) turned to JFCS Career Services for assistance after having been out of work for five years. He quickly learned that working with JFCS was a great value and well worth the financial investment in his future. During his unemployment, Tim had been a caregiver for a family member while his wife had financially supported the family. At age 53, Tim was ready to contribute to the family income with a new or modified career and knew that he needed assistance to reach his goals.    Read Tim's story here.

JFCS Career Services can make a difference. If you or someone you know is ready to make a change in careers or re-enter the workforce, call us at 952-417-2111. We are caring professionals who are ready to assist you on your journey.
