PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
ADULT SERVICES: I-CAN ROCKS!

The I-CAN program group at Adult Services is participating in 7 19 Rocks, a social movement which is booming on Facebook which message is to spread joy and positivity within the community.  It encourages art and exploration in the Pikes Peak region by painting and hiding small rocks.  Our adult program participants are having fun painting their own rocks and finding new ones around town like Goose Gossage Park.

The group also visited Amy's Donuts and made their own donuts, in addition, they saw how they are made.  It was a great community activity for the program participants and one of their favorite places to go!  A great sensory stimulating and interactive activity!

ADULT SERVICES: JOEY'S PLACE GARDEN

Joey's Place program adult participants are harvesting their garden vegees.  The garden has produced some beautiful vegetables this year - squash, radishes, carrots, cucumbers, beets and zucchini - in which everyone had a hand in caring and maintaining.  We held  a drawing for the clients to take home a sample to share with their families and providers.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Thanks to ASPENPOINTE for being our PRESENTING SPONSOR for our upcoming signature fundraising event Night of Comedy .

ABOUT ASPENPOINTE:  ASPENPOINTE provides exceptional behavioral health care to our community, one patient at a time. Our continuum of care includes mental health and substance abuse services as well as career and education enhancement programs for individuals and families.

As one of the largest nonprofits in Colorado Springs, ASPENPOINTE traces its roots back 146 years, when we were called the Springs Relief Society. That organization, which delivered coal, lumber and clothing to the needy, was the genesis of what today is one of the largest  Medicaid providers in Colorado Springs.

We collaborate with clergy, educators, employers, other health and human service organizations and the legal/criminal justice system in the Pikes Peak region to leverage our collective resources to better our community and the lives of its residents.
