What's happening at Le Pichet in September 2017
Summer is over, time for fall produce
Although the official end of summer is not until September 22, on the farmer stands, after Labor Day it definitely starts to feel like fallRoot veggies, cabbages and their kin, winter squashes, apples and pears are beginning to make their appearances and we can't wait to put them on the menu! Chef de cuisine David Cooper has been creating daily specials using the first of the season produce with an eye toward adding new fall dishes to the menu soon.  Check out the current menu here. And just a reminder that fall also means that is is almost time for huîtres a la bordelais, gratin lyonnais and other cool weather favorites!  Look for these to return to the menu in early October.
Join us at Omnivorous
Since 1976, Capitol Hill Housing has been dedicated to building vibrant, engaged communities through affordable housing and community development.  Omnivorous is their big annual fundraiser and we at Le Pichet and Cafe Presse are very happy to be a part if it again this year.  We hope you will join us and a ton of other great local bars and restaurants for a evening of food, wine, cocktails and music for a great cause.
