Although the official end of summer is not until
September 22, on the farmer stands, after Labor Day it definitely starts to feel like
fall.
Root veggies, cabbages and their kin, winter squashes, apples and pears are beginning to make their appearances and
we can't wait to put them on the menu! Chef de cuisine David Cooper has been creating daily specials using the first of the season produce with an eye toward adding new fall dishes to the menu soon. Check out the current
menu here. And just a reminder that
fall also means that is is almost time for
huîtres a la bordelais, gratin lyonnais and other cool weather favorites! Look for these to return to the menu in early October.
