CMC County Applauds Obama Administration's Denial of
Seismic Testing Permits Off the Atlantic Coast!
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce applauds President Obama's Administration for denying seismic blasting permits off the Atlantic Coast for oil exploration.
 
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has denied all permits for oil exploration off the Atlantic Coast.  The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce is one of the founding members of The Business Alliance for Protecting the Atlantic Coast (BAPAC) which has led an effort for the ban on offshore drilling and exploration along with the denial of seismic testing permits.The Chamber and BAPAC expressed its appreciation to the Administration for listening to the overwhelming coastal opposition to seismic testing from businesses, local government, residents and conservation groups.

Cape May County Association of REALTORS® Names Christina P. Clemans 2016 REALTOR® of the Year
Cape May County Association of REALTORS® (CMCAR®) is proud to announce Christina P. Clemans, Broker-Owner of Chris Clemans Sotheby's Int'l Realty, Cape May as the "2016 REALTOR® of the Year." Clemans was recognized for her contributions to the real estate industry, commitment to the REALTOR® organization and involvement in her local communities.

"Each year we have the honor of presenting this award to one exceptional member and this year is no different," said 2016 CMCAR® president Christine Rothwell. "Christina is unique in her dedication to the business and the industry, but she also represents the caliber of professionalism that we strive for in our association. 2017 Tourism Excellence Awards
Projects, events, programs, partnerships, promotional initiatives, digital outreach, or attractions by any person, business or organization, be it public or private, profit or non-profit who works toward the common goal of improving the New Jersey tourism product, increasing over-night stays and attracting out-of-state visitors and increasing mid-week stays, increasing tourism expenditures, and positively promoting locations within New Jersey as a destination will be accepted. The nominated program must have been initiated, established, improved upon, and/or completed between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Deadline for nomination is January 30, 2017.  Any person, business or organization may only make one entry per year.  If you won in 2016, you are not eligible to win that particular category in 2017, but may submit nominations in one of the other three categories.
 
Winners will be honored at the
2017 New Jersey Conference on Tourism
March 9-10 at the Resorts Hotel and Casino
 
NOTE: The Awards Ceremony will take place during the conference.  Winners will be notified prior to the Conference. One complimentary ticket will be given out to attend the Awards Ceremony. Registration information will be available at www.njtia.org.
