CMC County Applauds Obama Administration's Denial of
Seismic Testing Permits Off the Atlantic Coast!
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce applauds President Obama's Administration for denying seismic blasting permits off the Atlantic Coast for oil exploration.
 
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has denied all permits for oil exploration off the Atlantic Coast.  The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce is one of the founding members of The Business Alliance for Protecting the Atlantic Coast (BAPAC) which has led an effort for the ban on offshore drilling and exploration along with the denial of seismic testing permits.The Chamber and BAPAC expressed its appreciation to the Administration for listening to the overwhelming coastal opposition to seismic testing from businesses, local government, residents and conservation groups.
