Keeping Families Close at RMHCCIN
Mission Moment: Words from the Heart

A Message from our CEO

Tricks  and treats with Chief Cheer Officer, Mac and
 8-year-old Layden Merten
Another month has come and gone -- as Halloween creeps around the corner and October comes to a close, it's hard to believe that we're entering into our last couple months of the year!

On October 14, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana celebrated our 35th anniversary! That's 35 years of warm beds, hot showers, homemade meals and a good night's rest so families can face the weight of an illness together - and we couldn't have done it without YOU. But even though our birthday has passed, it doesn't mean the party has to stop. Keep your eyes peeled for future announcements as we celebrate what 35 means to us all year long!

In the meantime, we have a lot of great events and opportunities to support the House. Be sure to read below about opportunities and events including our annual Taste gala on Friday, Nov. 3, Home for the Holidays on Tuesday, Nov. 28, McDonald's National Fundraiser and more.

Hope to see you around!
Taste the Pacific Northwest: Friday, November 3!

Time is running out to purchase your Taste tickets. Join us for an unforgettable evening as we hear family testimonials, shop the live and silent auctions and indulge in the best of the Pacific Northwest's vineyards and cuisine. We're talking seared salmon, apple and hazelnut bruschetta, marion berry crumble and more!  Best part? All proceeds help support our mission of keeping families close.

Donating your time and talent to the Ronald McDonald House can be a rewarding experience and a real gift to the families staying at the House. Whether you are looking for an ongoing commitment or want to share a special gift or talent on a short-term basis, there is a way for you to make a difference at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana! Current needs include but are not limited to:

Guest Service Volunteers (GSV)
GSV's are our front-line volunteers and often the first face our families see when walking in the door. Duties include checking families in and out of their rooms, answering the phone, receiving donations, light housekeeping, and assisting RMHCCIN staff with various projects. This is a reoccurring , individual volunteer opportunity. We ask that GSV's are able to make one three-hour commitment every 2 weeks.

Prepare A Freezer Meal
Help fill our freezers to feed RMHCCIN families when we have a cancellation or do not have a meal group pre-scheduled. You bring the ingredients and a disposable pan - we provide the kitchen and utensils. Recipes can range from soups and casseroles to something as easy as a pasta bake! This is a great team-building opportunity that can be scheduled at a time convenient for your group.

Meal Groups
We are in need of meal groups for both our House at Limestone (located on the IUPUI campus) and our House located inside Riley. RMHCCIN welcomes meal groups on a one-time or reoccurring basis. Additional dinner dates and meal group guidelines can be found here .
