Worship with Us this Week!
Join us for Traditional Worship at 9:30am and/or Informal Worship at 11:00am where our scripture passages will be Psalm 124, Exodus 1:8-2:10 and Romans 12:2-8 with a sermon entitled Birth Plans. We will tell the story of young Moses and meet defiant midwives, a faithful mother, a vigilant sister and a compassionate princess. We will think about the ways that we are all called upon to support life and bring more love into the world.

Prayer: God give us courage to stand up for love, even when it is hard. May God help us to show brave love this week. Amen.

Help us welcome Ruth Tweeten, guest organist, at 9:30am

Volunteer Opportunity
Anyone interested in driving Luke Mani, a theological student at Eden, to/from PUCC on Sundays please contact Donna Ruzicka: [email protected] . Luke would like to attend a mix of both 9:30 and 11:00 services throughout the school year, until he graduates from Eden in May.

Alzheimer's Fact
The 2017 St. Louis Walk to End Alzheimer's is September 16th at Scottrade Center. John and I will be walking to represent PUCC as this is the same day as the ALL CHURCH EVENT with the consultant. We will join with members of Temples Shaare Emeth and B'nai Amoona. Alzheimer's doesn't care about religion. It does, however, affect more women than men. Nearly 2/3 of Americans living with Alzheimer's are women. For a woman in her 60's, the risk of developing Alzheimer's is 1 in 6, for Breast Cancer it is 1 in 11. Help us raise money and donate to find a treatment or a cure for Alzheimer's Disease. Make out your check to "The Alzheimer's Association" and we will deliver it for you. More information is on the poster in the gathering space, or contact me, Joyce Ruiz: [email protected] | 314-494-8979
