FROM PASTOR MEGAN TORGERSON
The Rev. Megan Torgerson serves as a pastor with the people of Augustana Lutheran in West St. Paul.  She has had the opportunity to preach and speak at the ELCA's Churchwide Assembly, the WELCA Triennial Gathering, and the ELCA Youth Ministry Network Gathering.  She loves her two daughters, her long-suffering husband, and cheeseburgers.

I look forward to joining you in worship on a Generosity
Sunday as talking about God's abundance and the joy of stewardship give her hope and excitement for the life of the church.  See you then!

Pastor Megan
FROM THE PASTOR
Sam sees the light ...

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Jesus, the Lord of life!

After a working July, I am back in the saddle with Samuel full time, this time riding solo for large sections as my wife returns to her pastor duties at Fish Lake Lutheran.  It has been a challenging, rewarding and exhausting couple weeks.  There is a profound difference in solo care, and I am so grateful to be getting to know Sam on this level - we talk more, I understand him so much better already, and can now temper his cries, and meet him and his needs with a deftness I wouldn't have imagined two weeks ago.  We've spent time bathing, cutting fingernails, spending front and back time in his gym, eating, going out shopping and simply walking around the house, the yard and the neighborhood to check this world out.  As his vision develops he has a growing interest in his environment, and happily splits his time between looking up at me and out into our world.

One thing he is especially excited to look at is light.   To read the full story follow the link to:

STAGE COACH DAYS

SPLC would like to have a presence at Wyoming Stagecoach Days.  This is a great way to put our name out into the community.  We are not having the Fall Festival this year so this will be our community presence. In order to make this happen, we need YOU!  Are you willing to help set-up, work a two hour shift or help take down?  If yes, please contact Julie Coozennoy at  [email protected].  If we do not get enough volunteers, we will not be participating in this event.

Time together.

Table talk is an adult education opportunity here at St. Paul Lutheran combining food, God talk, and fellowship.  This last year we taught small groups (limited to 10) how to cook a 30-40 min meal, then engaged a TED (technology, education and design) talk or other short presentation, exploring life and faith together.  As we begin planning season 2, we are looking for your insight and perspective!
