Tikkun Olam: Foster Kids RI Tote Bag Project

         Wednesday, November 8, 2017
           6:30 pm at CBD

Children in foster care sometimes move with little advance notice. Tote bags, filled with toiletries and other items are often the only possession the children can call their own and take with them in a hurry.

CBD is once again participating in the Foster Kids of Rhode Island Tote Bag project. The Tikkun Olam committee is recruiting volunteers to make 35 tote bags for this worthy cause.

If you have a sewing machine, please bring it and come help sew. If you don't have a machine, you can still help put bags together and iron. If you have pins, irons, ironing boards, and extension cords, please bring them.

E-mail Bernice with questions and to volunteer.

How can you help now?  Please donate t rial size toiletries, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and wash cloths. We will use these items to fill the tote bags. There is a collection bin at CBD, or bring your donations to the sewing event on November 8.
