Introducing the KRS Spirit Shirt!
(brand new and fun...please read thoroughly!)
This year the administration and PTO have worked hand in hand to design the brand new 2017-18 KRS Spirit Shirt.
Each grade
will have its own signature color, used to encourage class spirit throughout the year on Spirit Days, Field Trips, Field Day, etc. These signature colors will follow the classes through their years at Kings Road School. Students may wear the same shirt for as many years they like or buy the 2018-19 shirt next Fall. Our hope is that each child will have a Spirit Shirt to wear this year.
The PTO is offering the shirt at a subsidized cost of
$5 per child. Please follow the link below to order the best size for your child. We will have sample sizes
available at the Open House on September 5th and in the office afterwards. The shirts will be made of 100% preshrunk cotton.
The PTO will also be providing matching shirts for teachers and administrators.
As requested by Mrs. Koop, Miss Tavaglione, and the classroom teachers, the designated t-shirt colors will be:
KRS Class of 2023 -
Kindergarten - Purple
KRS Class of 2022 -
First Grade - Red
KRS Class of 2021 -
Second Grade - Orange
KRS Class of 2020 -
Third Grade - Yellow

Open House & Kona Ice Truck
(September 5th, 1:30 to 2:30)
You and your child can use this opportunity to meet your child's teacher and visit the classroom. School supplies ordered through the PTO fundraiser will be available for your child in the classroom. Tours of the school for new students and their families will be provided immediately prior to the event from
1:00 to 1:30
. There will also be a PTO sponsored shaved ice truck outside the school for the kids!
Newcomers' Coffee

To kick off the school year, the PTO is hosting this get-together for the new parents to meet the current and past PTO board members, current room parents and other PTO volunteers. It's a great way to meet lots of parents who have been through it all at KRS! Your children are welcome at this event if they are not in school. Back to School Night

)
This is a parents-only event. You'll tour your childrens' classrooms, meet the teachers, and learn about the curriculum for the year. Often teachers will use this night as an opportunity for parents to sign up for classroom events, conferences and more, so be sure to let your child's teacher know if you cannot attend.
Backyard BBQ BASH

September 15th, 7pm
)
Now in its 2nd year, this is a great social opportunity to meet other KRS parents. It's a laid back night of great BBQ, live music and drinks! This is an adults-only event.
