Ingathering Water Service
Led by the Rev. Florence Caplow
The annual UUCUC Ingathering Water Service will be the first service with our new minister. Please bring a small vial of water from or symbolic of sacred waters to you, whether that place is far away or in your own home. This is a beautiful UU tradition for all ages, honoring the waters of the world and our coming together in community.

Choosing Discomfort: being bold, brave, and loving in the struggle for racial justice. The events in Charlottesville have sparked debates about whether to remove Confederate monuments and symbols from public spaces. These exchanges are an opportunity for reexamination and reeducation. “The effort to remove them is about more than symbolism. It’s about starting a conversation about the values and beliefs shared by a community. It’s about understanding our history as a nation. And it’s about acknowledging the injustices of the past as we address those of today.” -- Southern Poverty Law Center, “Whose Heritage? Public Symbols of the Confederacy”

This week, we share more stories of everyday prejudice submitted at the July 30th service on racial justice. Over 60 stories have been posted on the Racial Justice Initiative bulletin board in Fellowship Hall. Please stop by and add your own or email it directly to Tim Livingston
