Because of you, we made significant progress in 2016
  • The U.S. Congress passed and President Obama signed the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act, authorizing $415 million in federal funds to support programs to protect Lake Tahoe. The League and our partners have strongly advocated for this critical legislation.
  • After years of advocacy by the League, developers cancelled plans for the proposed Brockway Camping Resort, which would have worsened Tahoe traffic --- and by extension, Lake Tahoe's clarity loss --- by concentrating thousands of visitors in a remote corner of the Tahoe Basin.
  • Your support enables us to strengthen our community engagement and citizen science programs that build future generations of Lake Tahoe advocates.
2017 marks our 60th anniversary
Keep Tahoe Blue
Since 1957, we have never relented in our efforts to protect the jewel of the Sierras. Looking ahead, we will remain vigilant in our efforts to address the major threats to Lake Tahoe: combatting pollution related to auto traffic, tackling the threat from aquatic invasive species and preparing Lake Tahoe for the challenges posed by climate change. Together, we can Keep Tahoe Blue.
