Switch Migration Timeline

On October 1, 2017, Phase 1 of the CO-OP Shared Branching Platform Consolidation will take effect and will include changes to shared branch settlement and reports through Data Navigator.

Important Reminder: If you have not done so already, please contact your core processor for any programming changes needed to support the new shared branching reports. Those credit unions that receive their reports through FTP (Filezila) do not need to contact their core processor.

After October 1, 2017, Phase 2 will begin. The CO-OP team will work with individual credit unions and their core processors on telecom migrations to the single platform.

*Reminders*

Shared Branching Training Modules
This is a reminder that everyone should be completing annual training for Shared Branching. We do offer online modules for your credit union to complete this training.

CUCB Contact List
Please check the contact list to make sure your credit union's information is up to date for both the operational contacts and the accounting contacts. If you need to make a correction, please email [email protected]

Network Implementations - Time frame
For shared branch network implementation projects, the state network and/or credit union need to provide a sufficient lead time, especially for any changes and deletions projects. The implementations team requires a minimum of 6 weeks notice for any change, and the standard implementation time frame is 8-10 weeks. With the upcoming migration to a single shared branch switch, this will be critical. Any last-minute changes many not be accommodated.
*Locator Enhancement*

A new short code is available to credit union members for accessing CO-OP ATM and Shared Branch locations via text message. The new short code, 91989, can be used in place of a phone number as the destination for a text message. Please use this code in place of the older version.

Please contact Client Services at 800.782.9042, option 2, with any question on the Locator enhancement.
*Case Study: Assistance Needed*

We are looking for examples of shared branching participants that have gone from a cost center to a profitable, revenue-generating location after adding acquirer participation. If you know any shared branching credit union participants that would be a good candidate for a case study, please contact Ann Morgan for further information at [email protected] or 800.782.9042, ext. 7208.
