FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!
Last Sunday's Noisy Offering totaled $385.60 for Lutheran Services Carolinas. LSC provides North and South Carolinians with services that give abundant life. Their programs include refugee and immigrant services; adoption services and foster care; mental health care, supported living, and veterans services; senior care, senior living facilities, and caregiver support; and disaster response. All of these programs are ways to Make Christ Known to our neighbors across the Carolinas.
Thank you for being part of this minist

Called by God and the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Jesse Michael Canniff-Kuhn
will be ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament on Monday,
September 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m.
at the Lakeside Cross at Lutheridge.
The address is 2511 Hendersonville Road in Arden, NC 28704. If the weather is uncooperative we will relocate to the Lutheridge Chapel. Once inside the gate, proceed up the hill and there will be a sign with arrows indicating where to go.
Your prayers and presence are requested. A light reception will follow the service at Lakeside Lodge. Because we will be outside and it will likely be hot, all rostered ministers are invited to sit where they please and simply bring a stole to put on for the Laying on of Hands. Red is the color of the day.
Jesse has accepted a call to serve as Pastor at Lutheran Church of Our Father in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Our Welcome Table Ministry is looking for helpers. We serve breakfast at Skyland United Methodist Church on the 3rd Saturday of each month and need 12 to 14 volunteers each time. You can greet guests, tally numbers, serve the meal, bus tables, run the dishwasher (a lot like Nativity's), or help in the kitchen. There is always a monthly sign-up sheet under the WELCOME sign in Fellowship Hall. Please call Nancy Seekamp at 687-8265 or email [email protected].

Volunteers are needed at Calvary Food Pantry. Join the Nativity crew on the first and second Saturday mornings of the month. If you have experience shopping with a grocery list or pushing a grocery cart, you are qualified! Volunteers with computer data entry skills are also needed. Sign up online here or at the Welcome Desk. Contact Heather Neal (658-9309 or email) or Pastor Rachel to learn more.

Did you know that Nativity has an electronic giving option?
We contract with Vanco, an e-giving company endorsed by the ELCA, to provide an easy option for your offering.
Vanco allows you to set up auto-payments, so you never have to worry about sending in your offering when you're on vacation or forgetting your checkbook.
Auto-payments also help us keep our ministries running steadily here at Nativity.
Like putting something in the offering plate? Good news! Soon, we'll have e-giving cards in the pew racks, so that you can indicate your offering physically during worship.
To sign up for e-giving, click
here.
If you'd like to learn more about e-giving, please email our Financial Secretary,
Carrie Dahlberg,
here.
