Goings on Around the Greens
President's Corner

I hope you have been enjoying our season with 60 members at two Spring clinics, 7 leagues, and Outings throughout and still much to come!

We invested in redeveloping our website to make it easier to register online and to provide other enhancements for our members.  We are using our revamped Facebook page to showcase Chapter activities as they happen.  If you haven't yet visited, please "Like" it and help spread the word about our Chapter.

Join me in wishing our members representing us at the District Semi Finals this weekend at Crystal Springs a lot of fun and success.

Invite others to our vibrant EWGA community, brought together by the love of golf!  Thank you again for being a part of this wonderful Chapter.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club - August 10th

Robbie Cohen earns bragging right for recently sinking a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole of the Ridge course!   Alice Anselmo and other league members witnessed the feat.  We can all channel that skillful energy the next time we tee it up on a par 3!

Architects Golf course - August 20th
Playing at Architects Golf course is always a treat. We had a great time and watched the end of the Solheim Cup at the bar. Congratulations to Sue Roberts who won closest to the pin, and Gabrielle Salemi who won longest drive.

Old York 9 & Dine - August 8th
A big thank you to those who came out to Old York Country Club for our 9 and Wine/Dine! We have several members who are members of the club and I want to thank Heather Meade for making that connection for us. It was a beautiful day and a nice way to spend the afternoon away from work. Karla Pollack was really on fire as she won both longest drive and closest to the pin holes.

Chapter Championship on June 24 at Heron Glen.
Thanks to  Diane Peterson and her team of volunteers who did a great job running the event and ordering up some good weather for us.

This year NNJ was responsible for planning our joint event and it was held at Royce Brook in Hillsborough.  We had 25 players in all participate.  CNJ had a great showing with 17 players.

We had prizes for low scramble score, closest to the pin, and longest drive.  The winning scramble team, at one over par score of 73, was Tia Toms, Karen Wedam, Doris Rudnick, and Cindy Daniele.  Donna Beland won the longest drive prize, and Tia Toms won closest to the pin, getting 21 feet, 7 inches, from the pin.  Afterwards, we gathered today to enjoy some adult beverages and swap stories.  And so our season began!
