Experts analyze risks
Forty experts with experience in Cook Inlet's wildlife, fisheries, subsistence, oceanography, spill response, shipping, salvage, ports and other areas met in Anchorage October 30 and 31, for a consequence analysis workshop. They were joined by 14 members of the Cook Inlet Risk Assessment advisory panel. The next step is inviting risk reduction options from the public and key stakeholders, which will be done via the project website, local news releases, and individual outreach until early February 2013. The Advisory Panel will compile and rank the risk reduction options through a preliminary survey to prioritize them for consideration. Meeting information is available
online.
