Women and Land Maryland Conservation Learning Circle

The American Farmland Trust and Dorchester County Soil Conservation District invite you to join us for three days of engaging discussion and fellowship focused on women in agriculture and natural resources management in our region. The “Women and Land” Learning Circle is an initiative by the American Farmland Trust designed for women landowners like you, who own and make management decisions on {state} forest or farm land.

You are receiving this invitation because a community member or conservation professional thought you would be interested in the program, and that your perspective would add value to the discussion. Cost for the program is $15 and includes lunch.

This program will be different from any workshop you’ve attended in the past. “Women and Land” dispenses with lectures and presentations and instead focuses on sharing knowledge and experience. You’ll join a group of 15+ women landowners and conservation/ extension staff from your county. You’ll leave with the information, confidence and contacts to make informed decisions for your land and to obtain technical and financial assistance to protect/improve your natural resources.

Local conservation partners like the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, Dorchester County Soil and Water Conservation District, Eastern Shore Land Conservnacy and Maryland Cooperative Extension will also be part of this unique program. Please consider joining us for this very important and enjoyable conservation discussion and networking opportunity.

We expect demand to be high, so please submit your pre-registration as soon as possible to reserve your slot. All registrations will be contacted by February 2 to confirm your attendance for the Learning Circle. Attendance at ALL three sessions is strongly encouraged since you will be an active participant in deciding what will be discussed at each meeting and will develop mutually beneficial relationships with other outstanding women and natural resource organizations.
