Providing Incontinence Care for your Residents

Thyrza Knox will review the different types of incontinence and how to provide proper care for those residents suffering from incontinence issues. People of all ages can suffer from incontinence, but the majority of those who suffer from this condition is over the age of sixty.

 Jatana Williams-Thompson will provide an overview of the current challenges facing the aging population in the United States, focusing on the increase in older adults diagnosed with frailty, disability, and co-morbidity. This course will focus on learning how to provide quality care to this group, with a special emphasis on the importance of helping the individual maintain as much of his/her autonomy.
