FISH CREEK, WI - Northern Sky's Fall Season features the world premiere musical comedy
Naked Radio playing September 1st - October 21st at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek.
"It has been 8 years since we've had the opportunity to debut a new show in the fall," stated Managing Director, Dave Maier. "The last time, when we premiered
Guys & Does as our fall show, we had multiple sold-out performances."
Naked Radio will be
Dave Hudson and
Paul Libman's seventh musical written exclusively for Northern Sky. This time they bring audiences the story of a small radio station that gets swallowed up by a corporate parent where the local DJs are relegated to obscurity. When a snowstorm knocks out the county and the station loses its tie to the pre-programmed feed, the guys have to punt, and a rejuvenated station brings back spontaneity and joy to the community it serves.
The cast of three includes newcomer
Doug Forrest
as well as Northern Sky veterans
Molly Rhode and
Chase Stoeger. The trio will also provide all musical accompaniment for the show, arranged by
Alissa Rhode. Jeff Herbst is director and choreographer.
"Our two DJ's (Doug and Chase) will be playing their fingers off in this show," said playwright Dave Hudson. "And Molly Rhode will not only be playing stand-up bass, but she will also be representing Maggie, the station manager, as well as the entire community (12 more characters) who call into WHLO, our radio station."
