Church Leaders Address Injustice Following Charlottesville

More than 30 Conference staff and church leaders gathered together in Hartford Tuesday, August 15, in a conversation about racism and the current states of our church and our nation. Many of the participants who joined the meeting were looking for ways to respond to the injustices witnessed in Charlottesville over the weekend.

The Urgency of Our Times
In an exceptional show of solidarity, theologians and spiritual leaders of the United Church of Christ's seven seminaries and their colleagues are uniting as signatories on this call to action, denouncing "the profound moral evil of white supremacy" and urging all Christians to make concrete change to end the benefit of white privilege.
