LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Two finalists for the presidency of the Desert Research Institute (DRI) were named today by Chancellor John Valery White, in consultation with Regent Jason Geddes, chair of the DRI President Search Committee.
The candidates were selected based on the process and criteria set forth by the committee with input from DRI and community advisory members.
The candidates are:

The two finalists will visit the DRI campuses in Las Vegas and Reno Jan. 19-24. Members of the community are invited to attend the public forums that will be held for each candidate. The DRI President Search Committee and the Advisory Committee will conduct face-to-face interviews with candidates on Jan. 27 in Reno. At the conclusion of the interviews on Jan. 27, the Search Committee and Advisory Committee will meet to determine the recommendation of a finalist to the full Board of Regents, who will review and vote on the recommendation at a special meeting in Reno on Feb. 3 at 1 p.m..
The committee is chaired by Regent Jason Geddes and includes regents Cedric Crear, Carol Del Carlo, John T. Moran, and Allison Stephens.
