Our grandson, Henry Asher Waits, arrived Wednesday afternoon. Mother and baby are doing great! Thanks for your prayers. Lori and I could not be happier!

Here’s a quick update on our Rooted Big Give last weekend. We had $225,000 given this month for the rooted initiatives, bringing our total received to $1,260,000.

The new pledges and gifts so far have totaled $75,000. We are off and chasing the remaining $425,000 (of our goal of $500,000) by God’s grace. Remember, we need $225,000 of that total to be able to move forward with our expansion project in DeForest. Thanks again for those of you who have given toward Rooted and those of you who have just joined.  

If you haven’t turned in a pledge card or given towards Rooted, you can do so anytime, online or by bringing your pledge card or gift to church. Make sure you note that your gift is for Rooted, otherwise it goes into our General ministry fund.

Let’s never forget God’s kindness to us showing us His provision in this gift of ten acres and for allowing us to join Him in His mission of calling people to Himself through Jesus.

When it comes to our Big Serve, 110 spots have been filled, covering all five of our local partners (Adopt a Teacher, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Eagle Point Elementary, Mendota Elementary, and Westside Elementary). While many of the projects have already been completed, there are hundreds of spots still available. Serving at Mendota Elementary is especially light on sign ups right now. Sign up here.
