Dear Dancers and Families,
Happy Winter!
This was our first Monday back in January. Concept:
Self Space and General Space. We are going to revisit each of the concepts from the fall. Now that the dancers are learning more dance steps and skills, they can apply what they have learned to the concepts once again. We danced with scarves in self space to
duple meter and in general space to
triple meter.
Ballet Skills: We added arabesques today, working on balance.
Locomotor movements: We used shakers to move and then freeze.
