STBG-UZA Workshop Tomorrow
ACOG will host a workshop tomorrow, Thursday, August 24, from 9-11 a.m., on the Surface Transportation Block Grant Urbanized Area (STBG-UZA) program. The workshop is designed to help our communities and members prepare for the upcoming Call for Projects in November. All members are encouraged to attend and other interested parties are welcome! 


Rural Economic Action Plan
REAP Workshop September 7
ACOG will host a Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) workshop for members on September 7. REAP grants require  no match and may fund projects such as road and street construction or repair; drainage projects rural highway improvements county bridge construction or repair and/or industrial access road construction or repair among other specific projects.
 
Applications are due October 31



National Drive Electric Week OKC
Drive Electric September 9
ACOG's Central Oklahoma Clean Cities Coalition will celebrate National Drive Electric Week OKC in the Wheeler District, September 9. The free event kicks off at 11 a.m. and is open to the public. Come out and meet Central Oklahoma's electric vehicle drivers, test drive or ride in different EV models and discover the benefits of owning an EV. 



Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
CEDS Meeting September 14
A meeting of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Committee for Central Oklahoma will meet at ACOG on September 14. The Oklahoma City Alliance for Economic Development will make a presentation on the Page Woodson project. 

Budget News
Federal Programs Funded by Congress
Congress has maintained funding levels of three popular ACOG programs in the federal budget for fiscal year 2018. The programs include:


Differences between the House and Senate's allocations will now be hashed out in conference prior to going to the President.

ACOG members are encouraged to contact their U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives to thank them for support of these programs.
