CFHI Collaborates to bring Pre-Conference to CUGH event

  

2017 is here and we are starting out with bang!  CFHI has collaborated with several other organizations (listed below) to bring a preconference event to this year's CUGH Convention that will teach you how to:
  • Improve risk management
  • Optimize cross-cultural learning
  • Deliver effective reflection
  • Create structures for program management & administration
In addition, we are kicking off the year by offering several intriguing webinars to build knowledge of our programs and research!  Check it all out below.

preCFHI Pre-Conference at CUGH Convention!
Workshop on Best Practices for Global Health Experiential Learning

In collaboration with  NAFSA, Harvard Undergraduate Program in Global Health & Health Policy, and GlobalSL, register now for our pre-conference at this years CUGH convention!


Are you trying to build or improve the safety of your students while abroad? Do you want to build your toolbox of skills for cross-cultural learning, reflection, and community-based education? Bringing together leaders in international and global health education, this workshop will explore the pedagogies (including service-learning, developmental models of intercultural sensitvity, global perspectives evaluation methods and more), guidelines (such as those backed by the Department of Justice through the Forum on Education Abroad, Duarte's Standards of Practice in Global Service-Learning, Fair Trade Learning, and others), and safety/security/risk management best practices to optimize global health experiential learning. This workshop is appropriate for faculty, administrators, and program partners working at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels.

Thomas Hall Scholars Program 
Respected UCSF lecturer, Dr. Thomas Hall, partnered with CFHI to provide  a scholarship  for rising leaders in the global health field. This scholarship  will award $1500 to two  undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate students demonstrating exceptional commitment to global health.

General Summer Scholarships

CFHI also offers scholarships for summer programs! With the deadline quickly approaching (February 1, 2017), any prospective participant intending to partake in a 4-week program in the months of May, June, or August of this year are eligible to apply. However, please read CFHI's general eligibility requirements before submitting your application.
