Martin Luther King, Jr. Service

Please come  tonight at 7:30 pm as we join our friends at Temple Emanu-El at their annual celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. held in the sanctuary of the temple. The BCA Chorus (along with faculty/staff) will join with other choirs to perform several songs during this celebratory service.  All parents and students are encouraged to attend this special event.  Please see the attached  flyer   for more details.

Friday Night Basketball!

Tonight we have two Friday night basketball games at the Plaistow YMCA. At 5:30 pm, the Boys' Varsity 1 team takes on Gould, and at 7:00 pm, the Girls' Varsity team takes on MacDuffie. Go Sentinels!

Parent Connection News

The Parent Connection (BCA's PTO group) would like to invite all parents to attend their next meeting on Friday, January 20 at 12 noon. The meeting will be held at the Artist Cafe, 22 Washington St, downtown Haverhill. Please come get connected with other parents in the BCA community and share your ideas on how to help the school.

Also, the Parent Connection is collecting Box Tops for Education. The next submission deadline is March 24. Please start sending them in now as there will be prizes for the classes who participate the most.

HS Field Trip to Hidden Figures

On Wednesday, January 25, the entire HS will go see the movie Hidden Figures which chronicles t hree brilliant African-American women at NASA who serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. Permission slips

and payment must be returned by Monday, January 23.

LS Parent Coffees

Please join Mrs. Cottrell, Mrs. Kennedy, and your fellow lower school parents for a parent coffee! Get to know other BCA parents and learn what is happening in the school. Parents with students in grades 1-4 are invited on Wednesday, January 18, and parents with students in grades 5-8 are invited on Friday, January 20. Both events will be at 8:15 am in the lower school cafeteria.

College & Course

New Electives at the MS

Beginning second semester (Q3 & 4), there will be two new elective offerings at the MS. Students in grades 5-8 will be able to participate in Hip Hop dance. In addition, students in grades 7-8 can participate in Debate Club. Please email Mrs. Cottrell for more information.

Academy Preview

On Sunday, January 29 at 3:00 pm, BCA will host prospective HS students during Academy Preview at our HS location, 514 Main Street, Haverhill. Please spread the word and invite anyone you know who may be interested in BCA. Call 978-373-7900, ext. 11 to RSVP if you plan to attend.

Re-enrollment Is February 1st!

We are excited to offer online re-enrollment and online payments for the re-enrollment fee this year! The system will be operational and available by February 1. More information will be sent in a separate email in the coming weeks.
