Greetings World Cup Parents,
Winter is the theme of the month. The children are busy discussing the weather, animals, clothing and activities. What's winter without snow? Circle time discussions and science predictions and experiments will be focused on snow, artic animals and clothing.
With respect to science, the properties of temperature and of snow will be the chatter; everything from snowflakes to ice. Children are learning about which animals live on ice in the wild and how they survive in the cold temperatures. Teachers are explaining the importance of dressing warmly in the winter. Classrooms are trading in their paintbrushes for colored ice cubes and shaving cream. Plus, everything is sprinkled with glitter to mimic the essence of the sun's glare off the snow. It is a Winter Wonderland inside World Cup this month.

Monday, January 16th - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - School only open for
Wednesday, January 25th - 3 Year Old Parent/Teacher Conferences 3 & 5 day programs for 3 year old students closed, school remains open for 2 & 4 year old programs,  Kindergarten and Enrichments.
Thursday, January 26th - Parent/Teacher Conferences for 2 day, 3 year old children, school remains open for all students.
Monday, February 20th President's Day - School Closed
Tuesday, February 21 through Friday, February 24th Winter Recess - School only open for "Special Days."

Winter is here! The holidays bought so many new articles of clothing. Please remember to write your child's name in them. We have so many children with the same hats, mittens/gloves, boots and jackets and want to make sure they are going home with the correct owner.
