SBA MOCK TRIAL CLUB
Tournament Competition this Weekend
The SBA Mock Trial team is competing at the La Salle University Blue and Gold Invitational Tournament on Saturday, January 14 and Sunday January 15, 2017. After weeks of intense practice, two teams, made up of 6 attorneys and 6 witnesses each, will present the case of Commonwealth vs. Taylor Edsel against teams from approximately 30 area high schools.

SBA ATHLETICS
Congratulations!
Congratulations to the Basketball Team who defeated Merion Mercy Academy on
Tuesday and Gwynedd Mercy Academy on Thursday. SBA is undefeated!!
Natalie Kucowski is one of 23 seniors to be nominated to play in the McDonald's All American Games on March 29 at Chicago's United Center. McDonald's will name the final roster in a selection show Jan. 15 at 10:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

The Track Team has traveled to New York, Lehigh University and Haverford College in the past few weeks. Outstanding performances have been turned in by the team.
Taylor Thomas and Sophia Barnett are ranked in the top 10 in Pennsylvania in their events.

COCKTAILS FOR A CAUSE (AUCTION)
There will be a committee meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the AP room for "Cocktails For A Cause", (previously known as the Pawction).
This event is SBA's largest fundraiser. Monies raised from this event will provide scholarships and financial assistance to the young women attending our academy.

Escape the winter blues and enjoy an evening out with friends! Eat, drink, place your bet, and cheer on your horse across the finish line!
There will also be raffle baskets, 50/50 drawing, lottery chances, and more! This event is open to the public; must be over 21 to attend.
Tickets $20 in advance; $25 at the door.
