Fiber Arts for Kids 6-12 years old
Learn many fiber techniques such as tie-dyeing, coiling, stitching, doll making, knitting, dyeing yarn with Kool-Aid, weaving and more!
Please bring a paint shirt and a snack!

Enameling - An Ancient Art
Enameling, an ancient art, is fun, immediate and can be made into many things. It's basically the melting of colored glass onto metal. Come and explore it!
Carol has been enameling since 1968 and as a contemporary artist and teacher, can lead you into the enameling world to explore your ideas. During the 3 weeks of class, you will make several small dishes or bowls, or other items of your choosing.
Students will use materials supplied by the PAA for this workshop. Additional materials can be purchased from the instructor.

Drawing From Life
Drawing from life means from the object rather than from photographs.
Express yourself through this encouraging and relaxing drawing class. You will receive one-on-one expert art instruction customized to your skill level in a fear-free art approach.
Learn about still-life, realism, abstraction, portraiture and more. Use charcoal, pencil, India ink, etc.
There will be homework. Please bring beverages and snacks for "critique" time.

Mixed Media
Bring an object to create a sculpture around!
It might be a branch, a rock, a shell, a photo of your grandmother ... please, no cute kittens or gnomes!!
Bring any tools you might like to use, such as rods, knitting needles, crochet hooks, paint brushes, pliers, etc.. Bring a sketchbook (if you have one) and pencils to draw with.
Bring all these objects and we will see where they take you into the world of mixed media!
Dates: October 14, 15
Times: Oct. 14 11-2pm; Oct. 15 11-5pm
Cost: $110 (2 classes) plus possible materials fee from the instructor.

Abstraction
This is an experience in understanding what it is and how to make it happen in a variety of materials. The course lasts 6 weeks, but you can take one, several or all!
For example, in this course you will work in a sketchbook developing designs and sketches to create from. Look at abstract artists understanding what they are doing. Make an abstract painting and make an abstract in 3 dimensions. And more!
Dates: Any
Saturdays for 6 weeks or less; 11-1:30pm. Any
Fridays for 6 weeks or less; 7-9:30pm
Cost: $185 (6 classes); or $35 per class; small materials fee based on which class is taken. Contact the instructor for supply list.

Weaving, Weaving and more Weaving!!!
Beginning weaving: Come and learn how to calculate your warp, dress the loom, and weave a sampler, using many different types of 4-harness weaves.
Dates: On going on Saturdays 2-4:30pm
Cost: $35 per class. There is a one-time $15 materials fee.
Weaving without a loom: Participants can select any 6 weeks to complete one course. This workshop will equip students at any level with many aspects of fiber art without the need of a floor loom. Learn about coiling, twining, macrame, braiding, card weaving, frame loom weaving, artistic crochet, artistic knitting, sprang,etc..
Dates: On going on Saturdays 2-4:30pm
Cost: $35 per class. Materials fee $20.
Weaving on a Frame Loom: Build a frame loom for weaving.
Dates: Starting Aug 30 and on going on Wednesdays, 4-6:30pm
Cost: $35 per class; materials fee is $20 for loom and one time fee of $15 for yarn. Bring scissors and small sketch book.
Weaving in your home: By appointment. $35 for 2 hour class and $0.41 per mile and $15 per hour for travel.

Life Drawing
Learn to draw a live model. You will work in a variety of media with a variety of techniques.
Dates: August 14 - October 15
Times: Mondays, 7-9:30pm
Cost: $250 (10 weeks)
Class size: Min 6 students to start; after that drop-ins are welcome at $30 per class.
