Total Brain Health is a leading provider of social-based brain training for the 50+ living and fitness markets. The TBH Toolkits (www.tbhtoolkits.com) are a proprietary line of brain fitness classes and programs developed for delivery within those settings to teach and promote evidence-based brain health and memory improvement behaviors.
In advance of delivery of the brain fitness courses, Acts' team leaders will receive TBH-led customized facilitator training focused on the science of brain health and the value of experiential, peer-supported programming. From that point forward, team leaders will begin offering the suite of TBH Toolkits to residents and community members including the TBH BRAIN WORKOUT course, TBH MEMORY course, and TBH FAIR program.
"Acts Retirement-Life Communities is committed to a culture of wellness. We believe that Total Brain Health offers an exciting platform for brain training that meets our resident expectations for quality preventative care through engagement in fun and informative classes. TBH's signature brain training programs are highly social in nature and encourage healthy lifestyle choices across the body, mind and spirit continuum of wellness," said Theresa Perry, Acts Corporate Director of Wellness.
Total Brain Health launched their first toolkit, TBH FAIR, a guide to hosting a successful large-scale brain health fair in 2013. TBH has since added TBH BRAIN WORKOUT, a robust activities-based program focused on the science of what makes a brain healthy, and TBH MEMORY a scripted class program that teaches memory strategies to rev up recall. "Total Brain Health is committed to delivering innovative programming to help consumers manage their life choices in a way that helps produce better brain health outcomes," said TBH Managing Partner and COO, Melissa Engel.
Total Brain Health's commitment to innovative programming, focuses on health forward solutions for group settings. "To stay sharp and nimble in our thinking, it's important that we stay social," says Dr. Cynthia Green, brain health expert and President of Total Brain Health. "So often we think of brain training as something that we should do on our own, while in fact staying social is one of the best ways we can challenge our working memory and speed of processing as we age. We are thrilled to partner with Acts Retirement-Life Communities to help extend their wellness offerings through delivery of quality brain health programming for their residents."
