THIS WEEK'S THOUGHTS TO PONDER

How Are You Building Bridges
Instead of Barriers?

In preparation for Human Relations Sunday (January 15), click here to see a 4-minute video. There may be a short ad before the video begins.

Reflection:
Imagine what it would be like if everyone in the world lived with arms wide open - ready to receive anyone and everyone without regard to race, gender, faith, social status, sexual orientation or nationality? Where do you stand on issues of social justice? As a follower of Jesus, how are you building bridges of healing and hope to people who are different from you?
THIS WEEK AT SAINT MARK . . .

THIS Sunday, January 15 is the last day to purchase your tickets!!!
Click here to contact Donna Poston to reserve your ticket(s) online.  Do it today!!!
Human Relations Sunday, is an annual day in our denomination that is set apart each year on the weekend of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.  The purpose is to raise our awareness of persons throughout our world who have been relegated to the margins of society. Our mission at Saint Mark is to equip and encourage disciples of Jesus who will devote themselves to overcoming injustice wherever it is found.

All of our worship services, plus 2 learning events will highlight the day's focus on human relations and social justice.  See the details below.

February and Valentine's Day reminds us of the importance of relationships in our lives - spouses, children, extended family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others who are part of the fabric of our lives. Relationships are both wonderful and difficult. They are the source of great joy and of great anguish. Join us on Sunday, February 19 from 1 - 4 for a mid-winter retreat focused on ways to transform our relationships through the powerful tool, the Enneagram

We will meet in the Commons Room. There is no cost to attend.  This event isn't just for couples - it will benefit all of your relationships!  It will be both fun and informative.  The retreat will be led by Marla Fuller.  Click here to contact Marla if you have questions.
