We are excited to announce that beginning this December we will have a new Santa Fe TTN Coordinator, Nathalie Herrman! You will be meeting her at the November program where she will be presenting,
Honoring Connectedness. What an appropriate topic!
A special welcome to the new members who have joined! For those of you who are considering joining, we encourage you do it before the Members Only Holiday Potluck on December 18. It's a festive gathering in a member's home and a great way to meet other members. It's easy to join,

Another benefit of being a member is to be in a Transition Peer Group, a small group (usually 8-10 women) who join together in each other's homes once or twice a month discussing topics of mutual interest. These groups provide opportunities for connection, new friendship and mutual support in a safe, respectful environment. We will start a new group as soon as enough women sign up.
Last month, we talked about finding a charity to support. We wanted to do something for the elderly and have found an organization that wants our help. Our members will be giving the residents a holiday gift (more about that in next month's newsletter). They would also love any of us who has a pet to visit or anyone who plays an instrument to entertain them.

Montezuma Lodge 431 Paseo de Peralta located just to the left and behind the Scottish Rite Temple with plenty of parking.
Seeing the dawn patrol balloons fill and glow and rise into the crisp morning sky was magical and surreal, like watching an animated movie with billion dollar special effects, only this was real life! We watched them with wonder as they flew through the dark, and filled with fire every few seconds. The sight and the feeling was outdone only by the mass ascension when row after row of these air-filled works of art floated above us, and beyond us, and all around. Pictures cannot do it justice, though apparently, the Albuquerque Balloon festival is the most photographed event on earth.
FLIGHT #18
We gathered in Sue Benedict's sunny kitchen and piled in two cars for the ride to Albuquerque, talking the whole way- laughing, telling stories, getting to know each other.
The tickets we purchased said "Flight #18" and that's what it was! We lifted off the ground and went 2 miles straight up, up, up, over the canyon below us, above the 3 story high rocks, over the first tower, and across the great gaping open space. We were holding on for dear life, thrilled and terrified both.
At the top it was windy and brisk. The views were liberating, expansive, and vast.
What an adventure! What a good time getting to know some amazing women! What a blessing to be part of TTN.

Yes, it's Election Day but you can make it much more fun by joining us for a delicious selection of goodies, sweet or savory, or share one that includes both! If you know Chocolate Maven, you'll know why you don't want to miss this event. (Don't have a big lunch that day!)
Come have some fun with an evening of music! Please bring your instruments and/or your voices, to listen or participate in music of any genre. There will be an opportunity for solos (2-3 per person/group) and a sing-along of familiar and well-loved tunes!
