DUELING PIANO NIGHT in the KINZEL CENTER FEB. 4

On Saturday, February 4, the Panther Moms will be hosting a Dueling Piano Night in the Kinzel Center from 7:00pm-10:00pm. For those of you not familiar with dueling pianos, it is a high energy form of entertainment where two professional piano players sing and entertain with humor, engaging audience members with sing a longs! Bring family, friends, neighbors...anyone who would like to beat the winter blahs and enjoy a fun evening out. Cash bar with beer and wine will be available. Reservations are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and may be purchased at the main entrance, by sending in money with your student, or online by clicking here. If you send money with your child, please put Dueling Pianos on the envelope. Hope to see you there!

FEBRUARY 4 PARENTS NIGHT OUT
Saturday, February 4, the SMCC Cheerleaders are hosting a Parents Night Out, from 5:00pm-10:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. There is a $20 donation per family, and all children ages 3-12 are welcome. Students will partake in various activities throughout the evening, such as games, crafts, stories, dancing, and more! At 8pm we will quiet down with a group prayer and a big screen movie featuring "The Secret Life of Pets." Feel free to bring a water bottle with your child's name on it, and a sleeping bag/pillow/blanket for the movie. Looking for something to do? FATHER & DAUGHTER DANCE

 The SMCC Cheerleaders will be hosting a K-8 Father & Daughter dance on Sunday, January 29, from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Desserts and light refreshments will be provided.  Flyers will be sent home with detailed information.  Tickets are $10 a couple and $3 for additional daughters.  Daughters who do not attend SCCS are welcome to join.  Dress code is Sunday best. 

 
ALUMNI HALL OF FAME TAILGATE PARTY
All SMCC Alumni, family and friends are invited to stop by the Alumni Hall of Fame Tailgate Party Saturday night for food, fun and fellowship.  The party begins at 5:00pm in the main hall on Saturday night, January 14 for the Boys Varsity Basketball game vs. Oak Harbor.
 
SMCC HALL OF FAME WEEKEND
Congratulations to the SMCC Hall of Fame Class of 2016.  TJ Blanton '06, Emily Christman '06, Curt Conry MD '90, Julie Opfer '77, Joe Pulizzi '91, Dan Shepherd '63, Marina Will Wiliford '85, and Ed Will '91 will be inducted into the SMCC Hall of Fame on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the official ceremony at the Sandusky Yacht Club beginning at 2:00pm.  They will also be recognized at halftime of the SMCC Boys Varsity Basketball game on Saturday, January 14 vs. Oak Harbor. 

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Just a reminder that if your child is going to be absent, please call the SCCS attendance line or send an email. Please do not email, text or leave a voicemail with your child's teacher. If your child will be missing several days of school due to a vacation, etc., please fill out the Leave of Absence form which is available in the school office or on the school website. Thank you for your cooperation.

The school approved 1/4 zip pullovers and vests are available to order again. Back by popular demand is the Under Armour 1/4 zip pullover.  This very popular Panther spirit wear item is only available in adult sizes with color choices of gray or navy blue striped.  Please note that this is NOT the uniform dress code approved 1/4 zip pullover, however may be worn on spirit days. Sandusky Life Teen is headed to Steubenville Mid- America in July. It is a weekend-long conference with over 3000 other Christian youth from across the United States. Please click here for more information.
