Anita White, a life-long resident of Lunenburg County, and familiar face on the John H. Daniel campus, graduated from Prince Edward Academy before attending business school.  She was hired by Southside Virginia Community College in 1971 as a secretary to the faculty.  When the SVCC Continuing Education office was established, she moved to the position of Secretary for the Director of Continuing Education. Having been employed by SVCC for 45 years, Anita is now Administrative Assistant to the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education.

While an employee at SVCC, Anita has earned a certificate and an Associate of Applied Science in Data Processing.  

"The best advice I can give students is if you need help just ask. You will always find someone willing to help.  SVCC offers great educational opportunities to everyone.  SVCC is a community college and that is the key....the college is there for the community."

Outside of work, Anita's hobbies include caring for her three dogs, who she admits have her well trained.
